The excellent reputation of La Suzienne wine stands unquestionable. The oenologists' expertise combined with the maîtres de chais or cellar masters' wealth of experience ensure that the wines repeatedly reach the high quality and regularity of character recognised by the professional awards they receive.

La Suzienne sells three Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée wines :
AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages
AOC Côtes du Rhône
AOC Coteaux du Tricastin.
(Appellations being the highest classification category of French wines, legally defined by governmental decree).

Côtes du Rhône appellation - awarded in 1937

These red, rosé and white wines, full-bodied, sturdy and refined with a good alcohol content, constitute the largest part of La Suzienne yield. They are produced from the best grapes of the Rhône region from a long established vine.

Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation - awarded in 1982

This wine, which only comes in red, belongs to a few select vineyards in a very limited area predisposed to specific climatic conditions situated within the Côtes du Rhône vineyards. At the request of the Côtes du Rhône wine growers' union, the wine growers of Bollène, Bouchet and Suze have jointly applied for the village name of Suze-la-Rousse to become the appellation used for this wine.

Coteaux du Tricastin appellation - awarded in 1973

These white, rosé and red wines come from the northern part of our winegrowing area where the grapes grow on terraces of galets, round pebbles, overlooking the river Rhône. They are light, drinkable wines which can be kept for 2 - 3 years. The fragrances, light and warmth of the hills of Provence are reflected in these wines.

In November, these traditional appellations are joined by the fruity vins primeurs, characterised by their aromas of red fruit.

Every year, La Suzienne wins prizes at the various wine tasting competitions throughout France. It is regularly awarded prizes at the wine fairs of Orange and Mâcon and at the Concours Général Agricole, agricultural fair, in Paris.
